so the day started off with brunch @ ''Ebisu.'' We order an Catapillar roll, Softshell Crab roll, and Beef Sukiyaki......overall it was ok....i expected better, but now in days most restaurant that have made a name tends to be lame....
just one of those nasty restaurant trends....
orange dream machine @ jamba juice for pre supper....(600 calories)
Dinner time came around and we stumble on ''happy shanghai'' (located in da hood) but decided not the best idea to eat @ gangland.....could very well be my last supper dot dot dot
@ that point dumplings was on our agenda....
We visited ''dumpling king'' on Balboa.
The place was packed to the max....
so we waited.....while we were waiting a girl try to cut in front of us....so we push her into an occupied table and the steam dumplings fell all over her....but she deserved it for cutting then we got kicked out of the restaurant......we didn't get our dumplings and everyone was sad.....however that was only a joke :) instead an off duty officer who was dinning with his wife confronted the cutter and we secure our spot to the next table....see I knew off duty cops were good for something
we proceed with ordering 54 pieces of buns 40 of those was ''steam shanghai dumplings'' 8 fried one, and 6 vegetable buns ....over all it was a lot of dumps ....lol...but very delicious
we had a great time catching up with the kids over our favorite dish...
gotta thanks baby for insisting such a fantastic evening.....she deserved a treat........
Sure enought , a treat was exactly what we got ...on our walk back to the car we saw a tubby bulldog woobling towards us ......it reminded us of rocky....(our beloved 14 yr old 75lbs english bulldog who recently passed away....but indeed it was a real treat getting accquinted with another bulldog with all of us together as a family.....
then desert was served @ home :X
fantastic friday.....look forward to more
